Flemingate get everyone into the Christmas mood

On Friday 17th November, Flemingate held their Christmas Light Switch On hosted by Adam Smith and Beverley FM.

The anticipation builds as the calendar approaches December, to get the party going Beverley’s Flemingate delivered the annual Christmas lights switch-on event.

With Christmas lights, a party atmosphere, and retailers throughout getting involved the magical glow transformed the whole of Flemingate.

The excitement built as families and friends gathered in eager anticipation. Watching and listening to all the performers, Adam Lacey, Olivia Tworek, Albert Stott, Room 64 who won the battle of the bands, plus the All For One Choir and the cast from Talegate Theatre’s Pinocchio. to build up to the switch on Taylor Swift Tribute Katy Ellis.

As the moment arrived, Santa conducted the countdown, a collective gasp preceded the spectacle of Fireworks and lights, a display to set the stall for a Christmas to remember.

As if that wasn’t enough then the grand finale, to close the show, the very special guest Nadine Coyle from Girls Aloud took the show up a level, marking the official start of the festive season.
