“Working together to Build a Better Business Community for Beverley”
At the heart of all that’s best in the East Riding of Yorkshire, this bustling market town boasts an attractive blend of the past and present. Rich in contrast, steeped in history, there is a kaleidoscope of activities on offer throughout the town ranging from music festivals to ghost walks… historic pubs… to medieval churches, bustling markets… to Edwardian art, ancient woodland to horse racing.
An unspoilt historic townscape features outstanding buildings and impressive architecture. The horizon is dominated on two counts – to the north side stands the medieval St Mary’s Church and to the south the majestic Beverley Minster which dates back to the 13th century. The Dominican Friary, the historic Market Cross and the medieval North Bar are some of the other notable architectural features that make the town so special. Combine this with fine cultural heritage and large open spaces and you have the essence of the town’s appeal.
In addition, the town has an interesting selection of small, speciality shops and craft arcades where the service and skill of the traditional craftsmen and quality retailers provide an abundance of rewarding shopping opportunities. It is an unprecedented experience with everything from antiques to aromatherapy and bookshops to saddlers.
Beverley & District Chamber of Trade is proud to promote, inform and represent the businesses of this special area
