Beverley Golf Club Host Beverley Chamber.

As usual on the last Wednesday of the Month in Beverley Chamber of Trade held their meeting, June’s meet was held at Beverley and East Riding Golf Club.

Chrissie (Owner of Marne Restaurant), welcomed everyone to the Golf Club, invited them to meet Paul Gibson “Beverley Golf Clubs Professional”, Paul set up a putting competition for members and guests to get involved. As usual the Business people accepted the fun of the challenge.  The winners celebrated winning a limited edition Golf Ball!!

Having enjoyed the competition, the banter in the heat, Chrissie welcomed everyone back inside for the meeting to get under way.

Chrissie mentioned, ” The Golf course is open to the public, they welcome members and non members to enjoy the warm welcome of the club, they serve food from  breakfast all the way through to evening meals. Open from 10am until 6pm. If you are having a leisurely stroll on the Westwood and fancy a bite to eat or a drink, your are welcome to pop in”.

Chrissie continued, “We also cater for private functions, meetings and run events such as a wellness hub every six weeks. We are vey accommodating and can, arrange food menus depending on your requirements. Encourage Chamber members to give the Golf Club a try”.

Stepping in as MC  for the night, Shaun kept everything moving to time, presentations from The Big Bench Community Project – looking for feedback and support of the community and the chamber to move it forward. The feedback was very positive, watch this space as things start to roll forward.

Mingus, Chamber member and Chairperson for SSAFA, raised awareness about Armed forces day to be held in Beverley’s Saturday Market on Sunday 7th July, also marks the 80 Years of D Day.

Shaun MC for the night raised the subject of the Beverley Chamber Christmas function, 23rd November 2024 to celebrate the Beverley Chambers 75th Anniversary. With a maximum of 100 people, ticket price to be confirmed will be on sale in the coming weeks, will be held at the Masonic Hall in Beverley.

Just Beverley – local publication invited Chamber members to get in touch with good news stories, Julian highlighted and identified some in the room who have presented recent good news stories. highlighted the benefits of raising the profile of Beverley with Good News and the positive benefits businesses gain.

In closing Shaun mentioned the next meeting will be held at Beverley Race Course on the last Wednesday of the month “31st July”
