Karl Chairs his first Beverley Chamber meeting.

Newly appointed chairman, Karl Douglas, held his first meeting at The Kings Head, Beverley. He opened his address to welcome guests and members to the Chamber, commenting how honoured he is to lead the organisation into its next chapter.

Karl said “Our mission is to foster the growth and development of Business in Beverley and District, achieved by Binding the local business community together. Liaising with local Government & non Government Agencies, partnering with other local business & community organisations”.

Karl went on to say, “I envision a future where the Chamber thrives and evolves in response to changing landscapes. Collaboration will be key; I encourage open dialogue and active participation from all members”.

Karl invited guest speakers to say a few words. Jamie Newson-Smith Events co-ordinator put forward the plans for events to support and invited members to comment back via email their thoughts.

Karl invited Aidan from the Kings Head to say a few words and Thanked Aidan for putting on the fantastic food for the Chamber to enjoy.

Aidan, General Manager of the Kings Head, updated everyone on the facilities available and invited everyone to have a look round and presented a business pack to look through.

To demonstrate the Chambers move towards supporting other groups, Carl from the Round Table, spoke about how both organisations can work together and had some very exciting news about potential events being ignited.

Anna and Megan spoke about the puppet festival 12th – 14th July and invited members to get involved, mentioned the reach the Puppet Festival has around the world.

New members and guests introduced themselves and the formal meetings were brought to a close, allowing people to stay and chat and learn more about the Chamber and its members.

The Next meeting on “The Last Wednesday of the Month”, Wednesday 27th March Venue to be confirmed.
