The Beverley and District Chamber of Trade held a Festive Party to raise money for The Cherry Tree Centre.
The party, hosted by The Potting Shed down Flemingate, was a night to remember with plenty of food, drink and entertainment on offer, even Santa was there taking time out of his busy schedule! Local singer Lillie performed two sets of party classics and there was a raffle draw with all winners bagging goods worth upwards of £20! One of the prizes even included a flight in a Cessna aircraft! All prizes were provided by local businesses and members of the Beverley Chamber of Trade.
Located down Cherry Tree Lane, The Cherry Tree Centre is a charity that supports the local community in times of need and provides an excellent community centre for groups and clubs to meet. A wonderful resource, the Cherry Tree Centre is a focal point for so many in the local area. Jo Cherry Tree Centre Manager said “We were so grateful to Beverley & District Chamber of Trade for hosting the festive evening. It was a wonderful evening with excellent entertainment and refreshments. The staff, Trustees, volunteers and local people who access our services all commented on a fantastic evening. “Any monies raised from the event will be used for our survivors of stroke club and our pensioners group. These groups support local people and reduce isolation and loneliness. As a charity we rely heavily on donations and grants.”
